I thought you’d like Marcus’ efforts! I think re: Olly comparisons, if anything, Marcus’ music would be a bit more “jazz hands”? I think this kid has the potential to make that style of music really engaging for me. No shade to Olly, of course.

As for MIA, I feel like ‘Bad Girls’ is probably one of her better efforts. Slowly feel myself giving in!

Being back in full time employment really means i only have time to read your chart feeds and blog entries. Love them.
Totally agree about MIA, but on the other hand (like so many artists), not a big fan of her personality or the way she goes about her business but i LOVE ‘Bad Girls’, and the clip is full of the person i want MIA to be.
Marcus Collins doing Seven Nation Army, for me feels totally wrong. The way they’ve tried to merge the gritty riff and turn it into a big band-ish sound makes me cringe. (Plus he is totally aiming for Olly Murs market, and noone messes with my Olly).

Lastly, i totally hope Gotye gets proper top 10 success in the US (even though he’ll be a one hit wonder in UK and US), that song and its performance it totally worthy.
