Reece Mastin‘s ‘Good Night’ has been booted off the #1 spot by previous chart topper LMFAO‘s ‘Sexy and I Know It’. The teen X Factor winner’s been out promoting his mandatory cover’s album so we should see that effortlessly enter our Top 5 next Monday.

Pink‘s ‘Bridge of Light’ is the biggest new single in Australia this week, debuting at #26. Just further proof that Aussies will lap up anything Pink these days, however beige and redundant the single may be.

Ricki-Lee‘s ‘Raining Diamonds’ isn’t seeing fortunes turn around after the music video finally dropped. She’s looking flawless as ever but the video has only garnered over 6,200 views in five days. Meanwhile, not that it’s necessarily fair to compare, Reece Mastin‘s video managed over 46,000 views in almost the same amount of time.

‘Raining Diamonds’ picks up to #34 on the ARIA singles chart this week but fails to secure any more radio support. The runaway smash sunk from #25 to #31 on the Aussie airplay charts (between 1 to 7 December).

Timomatic‘s ‘Set It Off’ cracks our ARIA Top 50 at #39 this week. The Jason DeRulo-style dance/pop track is also the biggest gainer on our airplay charts (between 1 to 7 December), rising to #35.

Cher Lloyd‘s ‘With Ur Love’ (featuring Mike Posner) finally cracks our ARIA Top 50 at #48 this week. Meanwhile her series mates One Direction‘s ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ holds on at #11 and their album Up All Night drops to #10. I wouldn’t have believed it if y’all told me this time last year that we’d have two UK X Factor contestants in our Top 50.

The Potbelleez‘s new single ‘Feed Off Me’ debuts at #42 on our ARIA club charts. Surely this would have to be it from the album, right? Watch the gang’s video for ‘Feed Off Me’:

Adele‘s 21 has now been certified 10x platinum sales in Australia, so that’s over 700,000 copies for those counting on fingers and toes. Her first tour DVD Live at The Royal Albert Hall is #1 on our ARIA Music DVD chart for the second week running.

Over in the US, Live At The Royal Albert Hall is now the best-selling music DVD of 2011, cancelling all its competitors after just one week on the shelves. Live At The Royal Albert Hall managed to sell 96,000 copies in the last week, making it the biggest one-week sales for a music DVD in four years. Coming in next best in this year’s music DVD race is AC/DC‘s Live at River Plate (73,000 copies) and Beyoncé‘s I Am… World Tour (63,000 copies).

Beyoncé‘s Live at Roseland debuts at #4 on our ARIA music DVD chart this week. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga‘s The Monster Ball Tour holds tight at #2, Kylie‘s Aphrodite Les Folies – Live in London drops from #3 to #7 and Britney‘s Femme Fatale Tour fizzes from #8 to #21.

Over in the US, Live at Roseland remains at #2 on the DVD charts while Gaga‘s The Monster Ball slides to #3 and Britney‘s Femme Fatale business dips to #5. Kylie‘s Aphrodite Les Folies has interestingly debuted at #17 to be one of the biggest new music DVDs out in the week.

Susan Boyle can probably put in a down payment for a private jet now with her album sales steadily climbing in the Christmas buying period. The new album Someone To Watch Over Me sits tight at #3 on our ARIA charts while her first album I Dreamed A Dream climbs back up to #52 and The Gift to #83.

Over in the US, Someone To Watch Over Me moves back up to #16 on the Billboard 200 while its predecessor The Gift leaps from #45 to #29.

Amy Winehouse‘s first posthumous album Lioness: Hidden Treasures debuts at #8 in Australia this week. Further down, Back to Black re-enters at #89. Over in the UK, Lioness enters at #1 to become the fourth biggest debut this year, with 194,966 opening week sales. The project’s new single ‘Our Day Will Come’ debuts at #29.

Glee‘s Glee: The Music Volume 7 debuts at #18 in Australia this week, making this their lowest charting compilation yet of the seven. I am, of course, excluding their Christmas albums and other supplementary records. Over in the UK, Volume 7 debuts at a disappointing #58.

Meanwhile in the States, the Glee gang sent five new entries into the Billboard Hot 100 and it reads as such: ‘Perfect’ (originally by Pink) at #57, ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ at #59, ‘I Kissed A Girl’ at #66, ‘I’m The Only One’ (originally by Melissa Etheridge) at #86 and ‘Constant Craving’ (originally by k.d. lang) at #89. Glee Cast‘s cover of ‘Perfect’ is the most downloaded new song on the digital charts. Check back next Monday to see where Volume 7 lands on the American album charts.

Kelly Clarkson‘s Stronger bows out of the ARIA Top 20 after seven weeks. Meanwhile over at the singles bar, ‘What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)’ edges up to #41 while ‘Mr Know It All’ plummets to #35.

Elsewhere, Stan Walker‘s Let The Music Play nosedives from #27 to #61 on our ARIA Top 100 in its third week while Sade‘s The Ultimate Collection re-enters at #85 after playing several dates around the country last week.

Lady Gaga‘s ‘Marry The Night’ finally bounces back into our ARIA charts at, well, #100 this week. *Snortcackles* Her massively successful Born This Way album also made a move back up from #71 to #53 this week while the remix album slumps to #79.

Over in the US, ‘Marry The Night’ manages a mighty leap from #59 to #32 in its fourth week in the Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile her live Christmas EP – A Very Gaga Holiday – tumbles from #52 to #135 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and Born This Way: The Remix sinks to #188.

Rebecca Ferguson‘s Heaven made a formidable debut at #3 on the UK charts with 128,458 first week sales. Amazon has revealed that Rebecca‘s album has garnered more pre-orders than any other contestant from the UK X Factor 2010 cast. Heaven beat advance sales of Matt Cardle‘s Letters by 181%, One Direction‘s Up All Night by 11% and Cher Lloyd‘s Stick + Stones by 571%. Bam! Becca, you better werk.

Beyoncé‘s 4 picks up pace in the UK after ITV aired her amazing pre-recorded special: A Night With Beyoncé, sending the album from #49 to #26 with 24,115 copies sold during the week. Further down, I Am… Sasha Fierce also comes bolting back up at #81.

Looking at the singles bar, Bey‘s euphoric ‘Love On Top’ rises to a new peak of #22 in the UK while ‘Countdown’ ascends to #54 and ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ re-enters at #71.

Kelly Rowland‘s Here I Am has thankfully picked up to a new peak of #43 on the UK charts before the end of her X Factor run. The smash single ‘Down For Whatever’ drops to #13 in its third week.

Olly Murs‘ moment of validation is finally here. His new single ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ finally claims the UK #1 slot after being cock blocked by Rihanna and the X Factor charity single in the last two weeks.

Mariah Carey‘s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ makes its annual appearance on the charts, rising to #12 in the UK this week. Further down there are a tonne of other seasonal numbers showing up too. Highlights include: Coldplay‘s ‘Christmas Lights’ entering at #66, Michael Buble‘s ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ shooting up to #99 and Kylie‘s old ‘Santa Baby’ debuting at #100.

Meanwhile, I’ve rewatched this like a thousand times in the last 24 hours. That’s Christmas spirit for ya!

Michael Buble‘s unbeatable Christmas album clocks its second week on top of the US Billboard 200, with overall sales now passing the 1 million mark. It’s now the seventh album to sell over a million copies in the US this year.

Mary J. Blige‘s My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act 1) [Editor's note: what a fucking indulgent album title] slides to #6 in its second week, suffering a 54% sales drop. Meanwhile, Mary‘s new singles move up the US R&B/Hip Hop chart: ’25/8′ rises to #39 and ‘Mr Wrong’ (with Drake) edges to #41.

Rihanna‘s Talk That Talk cops a 66% sales drop in its second week in the US. ‘We Found Love’ may still be the #1 single for six weeks running, but the album has slumped from #3 to #7, registering 68,000 second week sales.

‘We Found Love’ is the first song by any artist to stay at #1 for six or more weeks in both the US and UK since ‘Umbrella’. That’s two massive long-staying chart toppers for RiRi in this century. Could she possibly be the biggest singles artist in the Western world?

Meanwhile, ‘You Da One’ rises to #18 on the US Billboard Hot 100 while title track ‘Talk That Talk’ sinks from #31 to #77.

Robin Thicke‘s Love After War album should start charting on the US Billboard 200 later this week but if it’s any indication of interest, both its singles are steady rising up the R&B/Hip Hop charts: ‘Love After War’ making #20 and ‘Pretty Lil’ Heart’ featuring Lil Wayne at #70.

Katy Perry‘s ‘The One That Got Away’ drops to #7 this week after peaking at #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Well, show’s over – I guess. Nothing left to see here. But wait, from what I’ve heard, the song has been discounted to 69 cents on the US iTunes store and if you couple this with the increased radio airplay, things should technically improve for ‘The One That Got Away’ in the coming week. Plus, Katy‘s hosting of Saturday Night Live should generate enough publicity to help this single get back its footing.

Bruno Mars‘ ‘It Will Rain’ sits at #3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 but goes on to top the digital charts. The ballad, which was featured on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, is the first song from a movie soundtrack to go #1 on the US digital charts since Taylor Swift‘s ‘Today Was A Fairytale’ (which was launched from the Valentine’s Day soundtrack).

Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s ‘Ni**as in Paris’ leaps to #8 on the US Billboard Hot 100 after 17 weeks on the charts. Impressively, this is now Jay’s 18th US Top 10 hit. His first appearance was all the way back in 1997 as a feature rapper on Foxy Brown‘s I’ll Be’. Where is she now?

T-Pain featuring Wiz Khalifa and Lily Allen‘s ’5 O’Clock’ rises to #8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, making this Lily Allen‘s first ever appearance in the American Top 10. I mean, it’s not like they don’t know who she is over there – her first album Alright, Still managed to go #20 and 2009′s It’s Not Me, It’s You made #5 on the US Billboard 200.

Nicki Minaj‘s buzz single ‘Roman in Moscow’ may be a muhfuggin’ hot mess but it’s managed to debut at a decent #64 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and #84 in the UK. This is the first a few new material we can expect on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – the beefy repackaged edition of her hit album that’s due on 14 Febuary.

Will.i.Am‘s ‘T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)’ nosedives from #36 to #90 in its second week on the US Billboard Hot 100. Here in Australia, it falls out of the Top 100 altogether after just a week. Bye, bitch.

Enrique Iglesias clocks his fourth US #1 Dance/Club play smash from the Euphoria era with ‘I Like How It Feels’ (featuring Pitbull and The WAV.s) ascending to the top. Past club chart toppers include: ‘Dirty Dancer’, ‘Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)’ and ‘I Like It’.

Wynter Gordon‘s ‘Buy My Love’ ascends to #4 on the US Dance/Club play chart. This is now mah gurl’s third top five dance smash following ‘Til Death’s placement at #3 and of course, ‘Dirty Talk”s reign at #1.

Deborah Cox is back, bitches, and her new single ‘If It Wasn’t For Love’ is the biggest new entry on the dance/club play charts this week, entering at #27.

Chart Feed – 28.11.11

X Factor Australia winner Reece Mastin snatched wigs all the way to the top of the ARIAs this week with his debut single ‘Good Night’. It was reported that ‘Good Night’ managed to sell one copy every 2.7 seconds on Wednesday alone – easily clocking 32,000 sales in the first 24 hours.

Reece‘s debut album – featuring studio recordings of 10 songs he covered on the show – will drop on 9 December. Knowingly missing from the mix is the much-detested cover of ‘All By Myself’. Reece Mastin – the album – is currently charting at #60 on our Aussie iTunes based on pre-orders alone.

Guy Sebastian‘s ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’ is the second biggest new single on the ARIA charts – winding up at #7. The X Factor judge was positioned at #2 on our iTunes charts for a few days, behind his apprentice Reece.

Israel Cruz‘s ‘Party Up’ rises to #33, somehow resurrecting after looking like it was destined to be another home grown crunk’n'b flop. The Aussie producer – who has crafted numbers for the likes of Jessica Mauboy, Elen Levon and Scarlett Belle – last appeared in the Top 50 seven years ago with ‘Old Skool Luv’.

Ricki-Lee‘s ‘Raining Diamonds’ plummets from #19 to #36, clocking only one week in the ARIA Top 20. Be very fucking worried. The slamming dance/pop epic managed to rise to #23 on the Australian airplay chart in the last week – evidently not enough to sustain interest.

The forthcoming ‘Raining Diamonds’ video sees our girl channeling some kind of Sasha Fierce/Barbarella realness – watch the behind the scenes before the full production premieres hopefully sometime during the week:

Rihanna‘s Talk That Talk debuts at #5 in Australia, sending three new tracks to our ARIA Top 100 in its wake – ‘You Da One’ (#41), the frenetic future club smash ‘Where Have You Been’ (#46) and ‘Talk That Talk’ (#61). The project’s lead single ‘We Found Love’ sits at #4 and is still the most played song on Aussie radios.

Over in the UK, Talk That Talk debuts at #1 – racking up over 160,000 opening week sales to become one of the fastest selling albums there this year. Just so you know, TTT crossed north of 100,000 copies in the first three days alone. RiRi also has four tracks in the UK Top 75 this week – ‘We Found Love’ (still at #1), ‘Talk That Talk (#25), ‘You Da One’ (#39), ‘Where Have You Been’ (#61).

Over in America, Talk That Talk is slated to debut at #3 or #4 this week with predicted sales between 200,000 – 210,000 copies. ’We Found Love’ is still the most downloaded song in the country while its follow up ‘You Da One’ debuts at #9 on the US Billboard Digital Songs chart, selling 124,000 copies.

Katy Perry‘s ‘The One That Got Away’ slowly edges up to #32 on our ARIA charts. The driving pop ballad drops from #20 to #29 on our Australian airplay charts in the last week. Meanwhile over the States, ‘The One That Got Away’ cracks the Top 10, making Teenage Dream now the first album in 17 years to spawn six Top 10 smashes.

The last record holder was Janet Jackson‘s Janet circa 1994. Note: only seven albums in music history have snatched six or more US Top 10 hits. Janet‘s Rhythm Nation was the first album by a female artist to do so.

Lady Gaga‘s ‘Marry The Night’ drops out of our ARIA Top 100 altogether this week. Gag! No radio support, no video out, and various competing Gaga releases all continue to undermind this single’s potential.

Over in the UK, ‘Marry The Night’ stalls at #18 while her brand new Born This Way remix album debuts at #77. Looking at the UK iTunes store now, A Very Gaga Holiday EP sits comfortably at #18 on its first day out. There’s no way this ho’s gonna go through the festive season without making a dollar or two.

Over in the US, ‘Marry The Night’ re-enters the US Billboard Hot 100 at #97 – thanks in some small way to radio pick up and general awareness. ‘Marry The Night’ is the most played new song on US airwaves, debuting at #65 on the airplay charts.

Kelly Clarkson‘s ‘What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)’ is making a killing already on the Australian airplay charts – leaping from #49 to #21. The future smash is currently placed at #42 on our Aussie iTunes charts. Over in the States, ‘WDKY’ re-enters the US Billboard Hot 100 at #99 and on the digital charts at #64. She needs to stop flogging ‘Mr Know It All’ and just go to town on this one already.

Other notable new singles buzzing about our Aussie iTunes include: will.i.am featuring Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger‘s ‘T.H.E.’ (#62) and Cher Lloyd‘s summer-correct ‘With Ur Love’ (#63).

Kylie Minogue‘s Ultimate Kylie compilation shoots up to a breathtaking #95 on the Aussie iTunes chart while Aphrodite – Les Folies Live in London sits at #169 after her defining induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame. No other Kylie albums have returned to the Top 200 in light of all this publicity. Let’s hope her stunning Aphrodite – Les Folies Live in London DVD racks up some serious sales because that tour was just fucking everything. The Aphrodite Live in London album is currently charting at #85 on UK iTunes.

Stan Walker‘s Let The Music Play debuts at #18, making it the biggest new Aussie album on the charts this week. Not that there’s much competition – sorry David Campbell. Stan‘s album has done well to stand up in the Top 20 given that ‘Light It Up’ flopped and all he’s got to represent is that ballad borrowed from Jessica Mauboy‘s album.

Dolly Parton‘s new album Better Day debuts at #29 in Australia this week, supported by her recent tour around the country, which included some dates up in some proper country area. I honestly can’t go back far enough to tell you when was the last time the defining music legend had a Top 50 ARIA hit but let’s just say, it’s the first time this century.

Olly Murs‘ new single ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ debuts at #2 in the UK this week, suffering the ultimate cock block by Rihanna‘s ‘We Found Love’. In the first three days on sale, the spunky X Factor star managed to surpass RiRi‘s ‘We Found Love’ by 2,000 copies – but by the end of Thursday, ‘We Found Love’ had pulled up worryingly close at just 49 units away from overtaking Olly. Come weekend, look what happened.

Kelendria Trene Rowland, welcome back to the muhfuggin’ UK charts. ‘Down For Whatever’ enters at #6 this week, becoming the former-DC glamazon’s sixth solo Top 10 hit in the region. She’ll be engaging in some serious promo this week to flog the international edition of Here I Am which features her two huge dance collabos: ‘When Love Takes Over’ (with David Guetta) and ‘What A Feeling’ (with Alex Gaudino). Here I Am (International Edition) is currently charting at #26 on UK iTunes on its first day out.

Meanwhile across the Atlantic, Kelendria‘s ‘Lay It On Me’ can probably be written off as a certified flop. The summer radio ready smash sinks to #77 on the US R&B/Hip Hop charts, unable to even scale the Top 30 following ‘Motivation’‘s surprise #1 reign just a few months ago.

Rebecca Ferguson‘s gorgeous debut single ‘Nothing’s Real But Love’ enters at #10 on the UK charts this week. No, it isn’t crash hot by any major label pop star’s standards but I have a really soft spot for the girl. My mind, body and spirit is completely ready for her album Heaven, which arrives next Monday in the UK.

One Direction‘s Up All Night debuts at #2 in the UK this week, managing 138,000 opening week sales. The lads’ single ‘Gotta Be You’ does a death drop from its #3 debut last week to #16.

Here in Australia, the physical copy of Up All Night is going at retail outlets for $13 – certainly an enticing offer given that they’re only really known for one very new hit single at the moment. The album is currently placed at #9 on Aussie iTunes. Over on our ARIA Top 100, ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ rises to #8 this week while its b-side ‘Na Na Na’ has astonishingly made it at #84.

The Saturdays‘ On Your Radar shockingly debuts at #23 on the UK charts this week, making it the girls’ first album to completely miss the Top 10. Fuck, I know the album wasn’t that great but surely it deserved more than this epic floppage? Regardless of the results, On Your Radar has surprisingly been quietly released on Aussie iTunes – making this the first Saturdays album to reach our shores since Chasing Lights. I need to lie down.

Pixie Lott continues the flow of British pop flops with Young Foolish Happy plummeting from #18 to #42 in its second week. Her underappreciated new single ‘What Do You Take Me For’ sinks from #20 to #42. Pixie‘s label has swung into damage control, bringing forward the third single – ‘Kiss The Stars’ – for a 26 December release. Here in Australia, I guess Pixie‘s Young Foolish Happy is doing alright to even be seen at #165 on our Aussie iTunes chart.

The X Factor Finalists 2011‘s charity single ‘Wishing On A Star’ is surprisingly reigning at #1 on the UK iTunes chart right now on its first day out. Surprising reception given how shit it is but also altogether unsurprising given the involvement of JLS and One Direction.

Drake scores the third largest opening week album sales of 2011 with Take Care pushing 631,000 copies to debut at #1 on the US Billboard 200. It’s a sizable improvement on Drake‘s 2010 smash Thank Me Later, which managed 447,000 first week sales to also debut at #1.

Adele‘s 21 clocks its 39th consecutive week in the US Billboard 200 Top 5 bracket, making history as the longest time an album has remained in the Top 5 since its debut. The last record holder was Michael Jackson‘s legendary 1987 album Bad, which clocked 38 weeks.

Glee‘s The Christmas Album, Vol. 2 debuts at #6 in the US Billboard 200 at #6, pulling 71,000 opening week sales. Talk about a significant drop compared to the cast’s first Christmas album, which debuted at #8 with 161,000 first week sales last year.

Elsewhere, the Glee cast’s A-grade mash up of Adele‘s ‘Rumour Has It/ Someone Like You’ debuts at #5 on the US Billboard Digital Songs chart, racking up 160,000 downloads. This is now Glee‘s fifth largest weekly sales figure for any of their singles. ‘Rumour Has It/ Someone Like You’ is only bettered by ‘Teenage Dream’ (214,000), ‘Loser Like Me’ (one of two originals written for the cast – 210,000), ‘Forget You’ (192,000) and ‘Don’t Stop Believin” (177,000).

Mariah Carey continues to bathe in gold this lucrative Christmas season. Her classic ‘All I Want For Christmas’ is currently covered in three albums in the US Billboard Top 10 – Michael Buble‘s seasonal record (#2), Bieber‘s Under The Mistletoe (#5) and Glee‘s newest Christmas album (#6).

Selena Gomez & The Scene‘s ‘Love You Like A Love Song’ still has some unbelievable mileage left in it. The single rises to #46 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the A-level remixes soar to #2 on the dance/club play chart.

Ed Sheeran continues to win Aussies over with his smash ‘The A Team’ rising to #2 on our ARIA charts. 1.5 million people tuned in to watch the nail-biting X Factor Australia decider last Tuesday, which featured Ed‘s “live” performance of ‘The A Team’. Rihanna‘s ‘We Found Love’ continues to rule at #3 on our ARIA charts. The dance/pop single is the most played song on Australian radios (counting from period 10 to 16 November, seeing as the airplay charts get updated every Thursday).

Her new single ‘You Da One’ debuts at #60 on our ARIA charts and becomes the most added new song to Aussie radios this week. Talk That Talk deluxe album is currently #5 on the Australian iTunes and #1 on the UK store.

Over in America, ‘We Found Love’ is still the most downloaded song in the country and the most played song in the clubs. Her next smash ‘You Da One’ debuts at #73 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and becomes the biggest new song on American radios, debuting at #28 on the airplay charts.

Jessica Mauboy‘s ‘Galaxy’ featuring Stan Walker drops out of the ARIA Top 20. It’s probably not a sign of waning interest, just fiercer competition at the top end. The big ballad managed a new peak of #19 on our Australian airplay charts. All this excitement causing J Mally‘s last smash ‘Inescapable’ to almost fall out of the airplay Top 30 altogether.

Stan Walker‘s new single ‘Light It Up’ is not getting much radio love. It plummets to #36 on our local airplay charts, leaving ‘Galaxy’ to be the most current ambassador for his new album. ‘Light It Up’ plummets to #64 on the ARIA charts. Stan‘s album Let The Music Play is currently placed at #55 on our iTunes charts after three days.

Glee‘s spectacular mash up of Adele‘s ‘Rumour Has It/Someone Like You’ debuts at #39 on our ARIA charts, making it the first Glee single of Season 3 to make our Top 40. I’ve clocked it rising as high at #10 on our iTunes chart but could it keep selling this hard? Over in the UK, ‘Rumour Has It/ Someone Like You’ begins charting at #35.

Ricki-Lee‘s ‘Raining Diamonds’ breaks higher ground at #19 on our ARIA charts to become her eighth Top 20 smash. Hard to believe but this mega pop single’s actually not getting as much radio rotation as Jess and Stan‘s dated ballad. That baffles me. ‘Raining Diamonds’ is only perched at #26 on the airplay charts.

Katy Perry‘s ‘The One That Got Away’ creeps back up to #35 on our ARIA Top 100, thanks to some decent airplay kicking in at last. The sixth Teenage Dream single took an epic leap from #62 to #37 in the UK this week. Its remixes managed to debut at #31 on the US Billboard Dance/Club charts.

Lady Gaga‘s ‘Marry The Night’ needs all the help it can get. The single is slowly crawling up at #80 on our ARIA charts – the minimal radio rotation’s not doing any favours. ‘Marry The Night’ registered the biggest drop on the Australian airplay charts in the last week, falling from #23 to #32. Over in the UK, ‘Marry The Night’ debuts at #18 – thanks in no small part to her X Factor appearance.

Guy Sebastian‘s new single ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’ is the second most added new song to Aussie radios this week. The feel good song managed to scale up to #76 in the first 24 hours on iTunes. Watch this sky rocket after its debut performance on X Factor‘s grand final extravaganza tomorrow.

Kelly Clarkson‘s next smash ‘What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)’ becomes the fourth most added new song to Aussie radios this week. The track is currently charting at #52 on our iTunes store.

Kelly Rowland‘s down for a major pop comeback. Her flawless dance smash ‘Down For Whatever’ finally arrives on UK store fronts today and it’s already scaling up to #4 on iTunes. You know, if all goes well, ‘Down For Whatever’ could get a US release sooner rather than later. Her last club endeavour ‘Commander’ managed to reign at #1 on the US Billboard Dance/Club charts. How about giving this a go?

One Direction‘s ‘Gotta Be You’ debuts at #3 in the UK this week. I am clutching my pearls in shock to learn that Flo Rida‘s new single ‘Good Feeling’ outsold this to debut at #2.

Over here in Australia, 1D‘s early hit ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ goes Top 10 – thankfully picking up a great deal of radio rotation as the summer kicks in. ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ leaps from #37 to #26 on our Australian airplay charts. Up All Night arrives in Australia this Friday – it’s currently the most pre-ordered album on our iTunes store, charting at #28.

The Saturdays‘ wintery break up ballad ‘My Heart Takes Over’ debuts at #15 in the UK. Not a good look at all. Both The Sats and 1D will now take on the album chart wars together with their respective LPs landing today. Day one and The Saturdays‘ On Your Radar‘s trailing at #20 on iTunes while 1D‘s Up All Night blazes up to #2.

Rebecca Ferguson‘s debut single ‘Nothing’s Real But Love’ is currently placed at #8 on UK iTunes. Further down, her album track ‘Fairytale (Let Me Live My Lie This Way)’ charts at #124. Becca‘s debut LP Heaven will drop on 5 December in the UK.

JLS predictably has the biggest selling new album this week with Jukebox entering the UK charts at #2. Meanwhile, his nearest pop competitor Pixie Lott flops disastrously at #18 with her sophomore Young Foolish Happy. It feels like a lifetime since she had a #1 single with ‘All About Tonight’.

Cher Lloyd‘s album Sticks + Stones sinks from #4 to #12 in its second week. Snaps for success – here in Australia, ‘With Ur Love’ becomes the fifth most added new song to local radio.

Nicole Scherzinger‘s Killer Love album re-enters the UK Top 100 at #65, thanks to a sleek Christmas-ready repackage. The brand new single ‘Try With Me’ flops hard, nosediving from #29 to #64 in its third week.

Justin Bieber‘s Under The Mistletoe plummets from #1 to #6 in the US, registering a 54% drop with 97,000 second week sales. Justin and Mimi‘s new generation duet on her classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ is faring well. The video directed by Sanaa Hamri is expected out soon.

Mariah‘s seasonal smashes are already making their way back up the US Billboard 200. With Christmas being only a month away now, I guess it totally makes sense to start bumping these festive choons. Her classic 90s Merry Christmas album leaps back at #142 while last year’s sequel Merry Christmas II You re-enters at #194. Fans best refrain from purchasing the individual records because Mimi‘s gonna be doing some deluxe package for both albums with new material.

Susan Boyle‘s third album Someone To Watch Over Me drops from #4 to #7 on the US Billboard 200, registering a 46% sales drop with 72,000 second week figures.

Noel Gallagher‘s first solo album High Flying Birds perches at #28 on the US Billboard 200, which isn’t too far off from his estranged brother Liam‘s placement of #31 with his band Beady Eye. That album flopped in the States, managing to only sell 29,000 copies to date.

Taylor Swift is assaulting the digital charts now with three previously released tracks appearing on online stores for the first time. ‘If This Was A Movie’, ‘Ours’ and ‘Superman’ were previously only available on the deluxe CD edition of her Speak Now album through Target. In their first week on the digital charts ‘If This Was A Movie’ managed to debut at #3 with 162,000 downloads, ‘Ours’ made #5 with 148,000 downloads, and ‘Superman’ landed at #13 with 91,000 downloads.

Britney Spears‘ ‘Criminal’ continues to struggle, tumbling to #64 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in its fifth week. Despite the excitement of new remixes, the single’s not flying up the typically easy to scale dance/club charts. ‘Criminal’ is also flopping big time on the airplay charts. This is the bleakest, especially following a major radio success like ‘I Wanna Go’.

Beyoncé‘s ‘Countdown’ isn’t moving in the right direction on the overall US Billboard Hot 100, slipping to #75 in its fifth week. It has only just shown up on the US Airplay Top 100 so maybe it’ll be late bloomer? Meanwhile over on the dance/club charts, ‘Countdown’ becomes a blazing success shooting to a new peak of #6. Could this be the third 4 single to top the dance charts?

On the flip side, Queen Bey‘s urban smash ‘Party’ remains at #54 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and stays in the Top 40 radio airplay charts.

‘Countdown’ is not only struggling in America but the UK as well, plummeting from #51 to #80 while ‘Love On Top’ soars from #141 to #87. The latter will be released as Bey’s fourth 4 single in the UK on 5 December.

Darren Hayes has the biggest selling new Aussie album here this week with Secret Codes & Battleships debuting at #10 on our ARIA charts. This is the ex-Savage Gardener’s first Top 10 placement since 2004′s The Tension & The Spark. Darren‘s current Aussie single ‘Bloodstained Heart’ also finally cracks our ARIA Top 100 this week at #80, after two months of languishing on the digital shelves. The man is set to kick off his three-date Australian Secret Tour this Wednesday in Melbourne and I absolutely can’t wait to be there, finally seeing my idol live and in the flesh. Over in the UK, Darren‘s Secret Codes & Battleships debuts at #29 this week, despite a promising placement of #11 in the mid-weeks.

Coldplay effortlessly topped the Australian and UK charts this week with Mylo Xyloto. The album was instantly certified gold sales in Australia (for shipments of over 35,000 copies – whatever that means) while over in the UK, Mylo Xyloto managed to pull 208,000 copies in its first week. This means that Coldplay now has the second biggest opening week sales of 2011 – only marginally trumped by Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way, which debuted with 215,639 copies. Mylo Xyloto is expected to also debut at #1 in the US later this week, scaling sales north of 450,000 copies. The album’s currently #1 on every iTunes store in the world – except Denmark, they just don’t get it.

Meanwhile over at the singles bar, Coldplay‘s current hit ’Paradise’ leaps to a new peak of #18 on the Australian ARIA chart and ‘Every Tear Drop Is A Waterfall’ re-enters at #32. Over in the UK, ‘Paradise’ belatedly debuts at #14. Even though it’s been released since mid-September, it wasn’t eligible to chart because the song was sold as a free download when you pre-ordered the album. The next Coldplay single – ‘Princess of China’ (featuring Rihanna) – debuts at #33 in the UK this week, making this RiRi‘s 27th UK Top 40 single all up.

Kelly Clarkson‘s Stronger is the second biggest new album in Australia this week, debuting at #3. This is now Clarko’s fourth consecutive Top 5 album in this country, the only one to never chart as favourably was her debut album Thankful (which only made #33). Over in the UK, Kelly Clarkson‘s Stronger enters at #5 and later this week, we can expect for it to debut well in the US Top 10.

Washington‘s Insomnia EP debuts at #24 in Australia this week. A pretty unsurprising entrance, given the minimal promo and airplay for her stunning new single ‘Holy Moses’. Insomnia, the collection of eight new tracks, is meant to appease her Aussies while the Brisbane-born singer sets off to do an international release of her massive I Believe You Liar album. The international version of I Believe You Liar (featuring ‘Holy Moses’) will arrive in the UK on 7 November.

Ricki-Lee‘s wig-snatching ‘Raining Diamonds’ rises to #55 in its second week. I think what’s obviously missing now is some well-placed television promo for the girl. She’s already started doing the odd live performances here and there for ‘Raining Diamonds’ – the word is well and truly out by now. In fact, if you’re not doing anything this Friday night, come join me at the GH Hotel to watch the ex-Young Diva perform this song with full force eleganza.

Havana Brown‘s ‘Get It’ rises to #57 this week on our ARIA charts, demonstrating surprising staying power beyond the realms of my comprehension. I suppose we can expect for it to go back into the Top 50 next week after this Tuesday’s X Factor performance? Hovana will be sharing the elimination episode line up with fellow Aussie popstars Jessica Mauboy and Stan Walker, who will both warble their new single ‘Galaxy’.

Altiyan Childs‘ new single ‘Ordinary Man’ drops to #61 after only two weeks in our ARIA Top 100. Is there no returning this man to the Top 50? Elsewhere, other Aussies on the way out include Shannon Noll‘s ‘Switch Me On’ (#59) and 360‘s ‘Killer’ (#91), while all of the following fall out of the ARIA Top 100 altogether: Elen Levon ‘Naughty’, Vanessa Amorosi ‘Amazing’, Short Stack ‘Bang Bang Sexy’, Stan Walker ‘Loud’ and Israel Cruz ‘Party Up’.

The Wanted‘s ‘Lightning’ impressively debuts at #99 in Australia this week sans any promo or rapid radio addition. All I know is, they’ve now got a captive audience of teenage girls and the EP was plastered all over the iTunes home page. You do the math. Over in the UK, ‘Lightning’ drops from #2 to #9.

Professor Green scores his first ever UK #1 smash this week with ‘Read All About It’ (featuring Emeli Sandé). The song managed opening week sales of 153,000 copies – just one per cent shy of One Direction‘s ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, which is currently the UK’s fastest-selling single of 2011. This is singer/songwriter Emeli Sandé‘s fourth UK chart appearance (third as a featured artist). The divine Ms Sandé will release her second solo single ‘Daddy’ (featuring Naughty Boy) in the UK on 21 November and her long-awaited album Our Version of Events will drop on 30 January.

Lana Del Rey‘s flawless ‘Video Games’ sinks from #9 to #15 in the UK this week. Amidst all the excitement surrounding her recent signing to Interscope Records, it would seem that her debut album and next single ‘Born To Die’ is now etched for an early 2012 release. Could she be the Adele of 2012? Or will she end up as a basic success like Rumer or Clare Maguire? ‘Video Games’ is in the iTunes Top 10 in three different countries right now.

Matt Cardle‘s ‘Run For Your Life’ continues its rapid exit from the charts, plummeting from #23 to #52 in its third week. Meanwhile, his album Letters slips from #2 to #6. You can see why his label is anxious to rush out another single before the year’s end, right? ‘Starlight’ is scheduled to drop in the UK on 5 December.

Florence + The Machine‘s ‘Shake It Out’ sinks to #57 after just four weeks on the UK charts. The flame-haired diva is expected to launch her third Ceremonials single – ‘No Light No Light’ – on 16 January in the UK. Fingers crossed for a favourable album chart entry on Monday.

Adele‘s back to ruling both the US singles and albums chart with ‘Someone Like You’ retaining the top spot and album 21 returning to #1. In the last week, Adele managed to sell 106,000 copies of 21 in America – pushing its total sales to 4.1 million. Most definitely the biggest album of the year now. Next in line is Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way, managing 1.9 million sales to date. That’s quite a gap there.

The British warbler will release her next single – ‘Rumour Has It’ – on 21 November in the UK. The song has already impacted Aussie radios to coincide with her first live CD/DVD set - Adele: Live at The Royal Albert Hall - which will arrive here on 25 November and 28 November in the UK.

Rihanna could actually lynch the US #1 spot from Adele this coming week. ‘We Found Love’ is currently the most downloaded song in America, racking up 231,000 digital sales in its fifth week. On the overall US Billboard Hot 100, ‘We Found Love’ has ascended to a new peak of #2 – the only thing realistically preventing it from toppling Adele‘s ‘Someone Like You’ is radio airplay. Here is where the gap widens between these two hits. ‘Someone Like You’ is the second most played song on American radios while ‘We Found Love’ is placed at #11 on the airplay charts. ‘We Found Love’ is currently the #1 iTunes single in 11 different countries including US, UK, France and Canada.

Justin Bieber‘s ‘Mistletoe’ is the biggest new single in the US, debuting at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 164,000 first week downloads. The teen pop sensation is set to film the music video for ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ with Mariah Carey this week in New York City. This’ll be Mimi‘s first music video appearance since she had her gorgeous twins.

Beyoncé‘s ‘Countdown’ rises to #77 on the US Billboard Hot 100 while the urban single ‘Party’ (featuring André 3000) fares better at #75. Meanwhile over in the UK, ‘Countdown’ flies to #39, making this the megastar’s 21st UK Top 40 smash (not counting the ones with Destiny’s Child).

Beysus‘ brand new live DVD package - Live in Roseland: Elements of 4 - lands in Australia on 2 December. Just in time for Christmas. On top of the live tour show, there’ll also be a bonus disc containing seven music videos – including one of the deluxe edition album track, ‘Dance For You’. Santa better come correct for me this year.

Kelly Rowland‘s ‘Down For Whatever’ drops in Australia and some European nations today, complete with a slew of A-grade remixes. At the moment, this new release is not publicised anywhere on our iTunes store. I’ve checked the pop, dance/electronic and even R&B sections – tumbleweeds. Even Estelle‘s got a single on display but not Kelendria. ‘Down For Whatever’ is currently in the iTunes Top 10 R&B/Soul songs chart in Denmark and Norway.

It’ll be interesting to see if ‘Down For Whatever’ fares any better than her last solo single (‘Commander’) and whether people are any more motivated to buy her album. The international edition of Here I Am – which should technically contain more pop/dance inflected material – is set to drop on 2 December in Australia. Over in the UK, Kelendria will release ‘Down For Whatever’ on 21 November and the album will drop the following week. Seriously gagging to see how big they’ll make her X Factor performance. Trust me, you don’t wanna settle for less than what Cheryl Cole has delivered in the last two years.

Jennifer Lopez‘s ‘Papi’ finally ascends to #1 on the US Billboard Dance/Club Play charts, making this her sixth consecutive solo single to do so. Basically, every song since 2007′s ‘Do It Well’ has been a dance chart topper – yes, even ‘Louboutins’. Meanwhile, ex-Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta‘s ‘Show Me’ rises to #2 on the US Billboard Dance/Club Play charts. Nicole who? The Scherzingernator‘s ‘Dont’ Hold Your Breath’ pulls up to the bumper at #3.

Wynter Gordon‘s amazing ‘Buy My Love’ finally debuts at #45 on the US Billboard Dance/Club charts! I am extremely overjoyed for my gurl. Let’s hope this moves up to the Top 3 in the way that ‘Dirty Talk’ and ‘Til Death’ did. Wynter opened for The Wanted‘s New York city shows recently, so let’s hope this association strikes a chord with pop music lovers who are yet to discover With The Music I Die. ‘Buy My Love’ and the album will drop in the UK on 7 November, five months after it was first launched in Australia.

David Guetta has the #1 iTunes dance song in 16 different countries right now – 13 of them belong to ‘Without You’ (featuring Usher) and three to ‘Titanium’ (featuring Sia).

Gotye and Kimbra‘s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ is currently the #1 single on Netherlands and Belgium iTunes. It feels like some European countries are more receptive to his stuff than others. Back in Australia, Gotye‘s next single ‘I Feel Better’ becomes the third most added new song to local radios.

Chart Feed – 27.12.10

Guy Sebastian has scored a Christmas week #1 with ‘Who’s That Girl’ creeping to the top while we were getting our stuffin’ on. Kudos for the strategic physical single release during last week’s retail rush. Easiest Kris Kringle solution evah.

Pink‘s Greatest Hits… So Far!!! reigns supreme on top in its sixth week running while her ‘Fuckin’ Perfect’ single debuts at #86 in the US. Next in line, Susan Boyle‘s The Gift stays put at #2 – and rightly so too because the only gift I see this being is a big ol’ two for the port-a-loo. And so, it’s off to hibernation for SuBo now until she pops out again just in time for another Christmas release next year.

Wynter Gordon has cracked the Aussie Top 20 this week with ‘Dirty Talk’ leaping from #32 to #18. Hark! This be the anthem for some of us during the silly season. *Pause* Hurry on up 2011, I’m getting faint for mah gurl’s long-awaited debut album With The Music I Die.

Justice Crew‘s ‘Friday To Sunday’ is the highest charting new single here this week, debuting at #31. In fact, the only other new placement in the Top 50 this week is Neon Tree‘s ‘Animal’ at #48. This single was first launched in the States in March but is only making its way internationally now. A UK release date is set for 7 January.

Taio Cruz and Kylie‘s ‘Higher’ re-enters the Aussie singles chart at #39 this week while the US version featuring Travie McCoy debuts at #80 over in the States. The new video featuring Travie has been uploaded and there’s evidently more chemistry between the lads than whatever the fuck was going on between Taio and Empress MinMin. Like, dude, I still can’t get over those awkwardly-not-touching-Kylie moments. Is this your first time in the presence of a goddess?

Matt Cardle holds onto the UK #1 position during the seasonal week. According the nation’s end of year charts, ‘When We Collide’ is the second biggest selling single – only beaten by the almighty Eminem and Rihanna‘s ‘Love The Way You Lie’. Seeing Matt‘s success now aligning with that of all other X Factor winners’ only makes me rage harder for Future Boo to be validated with a #1 record.

Jessie J‘s ‘Do It Like A Dude’ edges to a new peak of #22 on the UK charts this week. This bitch is definitely one to watch for in 2011 – mark the words of tastemaker pop music bloggeurs everywhere. She has been enlisted to write for Britney‘s forthcoming album and her own debut Who You Are is expected to drop next year as well. You’ve been warned. Keep an eye out for Jessie J on the coveted BBC’s Sound of 2011 shortlist.

The Wanted‘s third single ‘Lose My Mind’ continues its climb, reaching a peak of #29 this week in the UK while the album sells comfortably outside the Top 20. These lads are not buggering off anytime soon, I don’t think. Having said that, I can’t imagine a fourth single being a possibility. Perhaps they’ll buck with the trend and re-release their album with new recordings in six months. Why the hell not? Everyone’s doing it.

Take That – manband extraordinaire – remains unstoppable with Progress still topping the UK charts for six consecutive weeks. There’s still debate over what the album’s second single will be. At the moment it’s looking like a toss up between ‘SOS’ and ‘Kidz’ – two of my favourites on the record. The men were supposed to perform ‘Kidz’ on the X Factor finals this year but the performance was pulled because it contained a riot scene that was deemed “inappropriate”. Elsewhere, Take That have also performed ‘SOS’ on the Royal Variety Performance. Single choice is anybody’s guess at this stage.

Alexandra Burke‘s bombshell Overcome deluxe was all but a bleep on the Christmas week charts. Poor lass. She was packin’ in the value for ya’ll, reupholstering her monster-selling debut with several new recordings and this is the thanks she gets? Overcome languishes outside the UK Top 30 while the new single version of ‘The Silence’ drops from #36 to #65 this week. Yikes.

Usher‘s ‘More’ – easily one of my favourites from this current album – has been charting for nine weeks in the UK and no one told me? The track was issued as single number five this month but the love goes way back. ‘More’ was first issued as a promo single on US iTunes last March and it has already made it’s UK debut at #89 based on downloads alone when the album first dropped. The track sits at #34 this week in the UK and re-enters the US charts at #88. Gonna push it to the limits, gimme MOAR!

Mariah Carey‘s ‘Oh Santa!’ debuts at #100 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in the lead up to Christmas week. The album Merry Christmas II You is still in the US Top 20. [Editor's note: We'd all be bleeding from the ears if Limmy spins that album one more time this holiday season.]

Keri Hilson‘s ‘Pretty Girl Rock’ climbs to a new peak of #42 in the US. The accomplished songwriter still has loads to prove as a recording artiste but if the swag she’s jackin’ on No Boys Allowed is anything to go by. The world best watch out. I’m earmarking ‘Pretty Girl Rock’, ‘Buyou’ and ‘The Way You Love Me’ as the corkers you need to jump on. No Boys Allowed will drop in Australia on 14 January.

Ciara‘s Basic Instinct flopped at a #44 debut in the States, selling only a meagre 37,000 copies, making this her lowest-selling debut to date. It fared far worse internationally – where it’s traditionally never been CeCe‘s crowd anyway – missing the Top 100 completely in the UK and Top 50 in Australia. What’s been giving me the LOLZ about Princess CeCe is the little feud that’s bubbling over between her and Ms Keri Hilson. Check the sitch over at Toya’s World.

Kandi – see: Real Housewives of Atlanta Cristal-swigging petal – has dropped her long awaited comeback album Kandi Koated. The album creeps in at #91 this week and it’s absolute travesty that her gal pal and diva vocal powerhouse du jour Kim Zolciak wasn’t featured on a track. I mean, gurl, you couldn’t throw her warbles in for a hidden track or some Walmart exclusive bonus track for old time’s sake?

Crystal Bowersox – this year’s American Idol runner up – sees her folky debut Farmer’s Daughter enter at #28 in the States. It was initially reported that the Chad Kroeger co-write (don’t fight the cringe) ‘Hold On’ was gonna be the first single, much to Crystal‘s disapproval. But thankfully, Ms Bowersox got her way and released the title track as the album’s lead single instead.

Vintage Feed: Mariah Carey ‘I Still Believe’

This song kills my heart every time and I can’t believe I’ve never seen the vidgeeoh before today.

Thank you YouTube for immortalising the youthful fabulosity of Mariah Carey and giving me all the tingles a gay would feel when he sees his favourite hag rock a man shirt with her bra showing.

Director Brett Ratner (the man behind the Rush Hour series) kinda blurred pastiche with reality a little here with his homage to Marilyn Monroe‘s iconic visit to perform for US troops in Korea. A part of me would’ve believed that these were real servicemen and Mimi actually got her private jet out to some army base to flaunt to her shit.

Never mind the dumb fuck of a statement I just made. You’re losing sight of what’s important here. Let me screen cap and spell it out for ya’ll…

Here are three tingle-inducing moments in the ‘I Still Believe’ promo:

1) Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.

And don’t lose your shit and squeal like a merry unicorn when you meet Butterfly Queen Mimi.

2) A 90s popstar’s definition of the Marilyn curl.

Bloody awful, wasn’t it? Think my Aunty Karen rocked those curls for at least a decade. I had often mistaken her for a has-been Taiwanese popstar.

3) I’m swooning.

This cover was recorded as a tribute to the original artist – Brenda K. Starr – who was instrumental in breaking young Mimi when she handed her then-backing singer’s demo to Sony Music mogul Tommy Mottola, who swiftly signed Mimi and began her multi-million dollar recording career.

Mariah Carey Christmas Performances

There’s still no sign of a tree or mistletoe up in my place but there’s plenty of Ma Mimi‘s Christmas warbles on rotation.

Here I invite you to snuggle up beside me for a compilation of Mariah‘s latest sparkly Yule tide performances on the ABC Christmas special and Christmas In Washington.

1) Washington, you ain’t ready for this.

Here the melismatic diva reprises her seasonal favourite ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ for the Christmas In Washington special hosted by Ellen DeGeneres with President Obama and the First Lady in attendance.

Did I miss something or was Mariah‘s mama Patricia Carey meant to join in for an operatic mash up? Instead, why is she standing there getting full just looking at her daughter?

2) Duet with Glam Ma Patricia.

Well Santa has very promptly delivered my YouTube wishes today. Here’s ‘O Come All Ye Faithful/Hallelujah’ performed with the matron of heaven’s choir of angels: Patricia Carey. I recognise that it’s the same song as above but this is twice the value.

3) O Holy Night.

There were moments in this performance where I feared that the twins were gonna shoot out from between her legs. I appreciate you squeezin’ and grasping for the notes, Ma, but please. Think of the little Mimettes.

4) Oh Santa!

This brings so much joy to my world. Hand claps, foot stomps and Mariah‘s ever-present million dollar legs and cleavage. It’ll never be another ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ but I stand by the fact that ‘Oh Santa!’ sounds current and right for this generation.
